MDU Resources Group, Inc., the oldest publicly traded company headquartered in North Dakota, with operations and customers across the northwest corner of the United States, is seeking an Attorney licensed to practice law in North Dakota with skills in the areas of SEC disclosures, governance, utilities, and contracts to provide legal services and represent the Company in complex negotiations, under the general supervision of the Chief Legal Officer. All MDU Resources employees are responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in their day-to-day work routines for themselves and others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Attorney I:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university; and

Juris Doctor (or equivalent) degree from an accredited law school; and

License to practice law in North Dakota

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.

This position is located on site at the MDU Resources Corporate Campus in Bismarck, ND

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.

Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.

May be required to maintain a valid drivers license.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Chief Legal Officer in providing legal advice to the internal staff and senior management of MDU Resources Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries.

Assist the Chief Legal Officer in the coordination of the activities of outside counsel.

Provide legal assistance to internal staff and management of MDU Resources Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries in areas such as finance, SEC disclosure, securities, corporate governance, employee benefit plan matters, contracts, real estate, labor and employment matters, claims and litigation, utility law and regulations, and compliance.

Perform other tasks and special projects, as assigned.

Offers for this role are typically made within this range: $94,460 - $118,080
